Job Description EXO Edge is hiring an experienced Manager specializing in People Management and Record to Report process. You will be aligned with our FA Operations that provides accounting services to the US Property Management/Real Estate industry. In Your Journey, You Will Be Fulfilling the below roles and responsibilities: Accounting - Lead a team(s) of Property Accountants (aka R2R Accountants) supporting the US Property Management/Real Estate industry. - Compile and analyze financial information in preparation for entry into various financial statements and accounting reports. - Make appropriate journal entries for recording in the general ledger by checking calculations, reviewing the basis for figures, and balancing and reconciling figures. - Review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents and research and resolve discrepancies. - Perform bank reconciliations and wire transfers for deposits, make mortgage payments and distributions. - Maintain and coordinate accounting control procedures by analyzing revenue and expenditure trends. - Recommending appropriate budget levels to ensure expenditure. - Managing team reviews PL accounts errors, omissions, or inconsistencies and managing the preparation of all reports. - Analyze and review accounting and financial resources for property acquisitions, dispositions, closings budgets, expenditures for local, state, federal, and private funding. - Perform specialized tasks necessary for their specific functional area, e.g., tasks specific to construction and development, such as preparing and coordinating draw schedules, managing job budget cost variances, interfacing with contractors and sub-contractors, and working with lien releases and contracts. - Act as liaison to internal and external auditors by explaining journal entries and financial transactions, providing research data and information as requested, and answering questions necessary to complete the audit in a timely manner. - Requires adherence to strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near-term goals. - Communicate with on-site and other property managers to assist in completing pre-close and close activities, answer questions, provide support, and ensure timely completion of accounting process. - Complete various financial, accounting, administrative, and other reports, and analyses, and perform other duties as assigned or necessary. Client Management - Build, develop, and grow the client relationships for account growth. - Proactive and effective communication with the client on an ongoing basis. - Coordinate with Team and Client to answer and clarify queries. People Management - Monitor and plan to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality of team output. - Effective communication with team members about project expectations and benchmarks. - Delegation of tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel. - Identification and resolution of issues and conflicts within the team. - Control, manage, and meet the attrition level target. - Accountable for teamwork. Training Development - Training and evaluating the team on various processes. - Cross train the team members to ensure team utilization. - Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise team members and influence them to take positive action. Reports - Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas. - Co-ordinate with other departments managers as needed.
