Role Overview The Business Development Trainee role is primarily focused on telecalling and converting leads into student admissions. This internship offers practical exposure to inside sales, student counseling, and enrollment processes within the EdTech sector. The ideal candidate is confident in communication, target-oriented, and interested in building a career in sales and business development. Key Responsibilities 1. Telecalling & Lead Conversion (Primary Role) - Make outbound calls to prospective students and parents from provided lead data. - Explain course details, benefits, and learning outcomes clearly and convincingly. - Follow up on inquiries and nurture leads to convert them into confirmed admissions. - Achieve daily and monthly call and conversion targets. 2. Student Counseling & Relationship Management - Understand student requirements and recommend suitable courses/programs. - Handle objections professionally and guide students through the admission process. - Maintain positive relationships to ensure trust and successful conversions. 3. Lead Management & Reporting - Update lead status, call outcomes, and follow-up details accurately in CRM/sheets. - Prepare daily activity and conversion reports for the reporting manager. 4. Coordination & Support - Coordinate with academic and operations teams to ensure smooth admission onboarding. - Support walk-in inquiries and admission documentation when required. Qualifications & Skills - Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline (Business/Marketing preferred). - Strong verbal communication skills in English and Malayalam. - Comfortable with telecalling and working in a target-driven environment. - Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, CRM tools).
