This role is for one of the Weekday s clients Min Experience 15 years Location Hyderabad chennai JobType full-time The Director of IT - Provider will lead a large cross-functional technology team driving the design development and implementation of scalable high-quality solutions within the Provider domain This role requires a visionary leader who thrives in a collaborative matrixed environment and can align technology strategy with business objectives while partnering closely with US-based stakeholders and internal teams to ensure delivery excellence Requirements Key Responsibilities Leadership People Management Lead mentor and inspire the Provider IT team fostering a culture of innovation accountability and continuous improvement Directly manage a core team of 5 while overseeing a total of 60 professionals including Developers Product Owners and Business Analysts Conduct performance reviews guide career development and implement targeted upskilling or hiring to address capability gaps Delivery Management Oversee end-to-end delivery of Provider domain initiatives ensuring projects meet defined scope quality and timelines Proactively manage project risks dependencies and escalations to maintain seamless delivery Ensure delivery of robust scalable and compliant software solutions that meet business and regulatory requirements Resource Planning Optimization Develop and maintain resource and capacity plans aligned with current and future project needs Collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize initiatives and allocate resources efficiently Lead demand forecasting and workforce planning to support strategic objectives Stakeholder Collaboration Build and maintain strong working relationships with US and global business stakeholders Serve as the primary point of contact for Provider domain programs ensuring alignment and transparency Present delivery metrics progress updates and risk assessments to senior leadership Technical Strategic Leadership Maintain deep technical expertise in Mainframe Java APIs and vendor integration ecosystems Provide hands-on technical oversight to ensure adherence to enterprise architecture and best practices Contribute to defining long-term IT strategy technology roadmaps and modernization initiatives within the Provider domain Qualifications Experience 15-18 years of overall IT experience including at least 10 years in the US Healthcare Payer industry Strong domain knowledge across Provider Data Management Credentialing Contracting and Provider Directories Proven success in leading large-scale application development and delivery initiatives Experience with demand capacity planning forecasting and vendor management Proficient understanding of enterprise technology stacks including Mainframe Java and API integrations Exceptional stakeholder management communication and analytical skills Experience operating in complex matrixed global organizations Leadership Attributes Visionary Defines direction and drives long-term strategic outcomes Innovative Continuously seeks creative solutions and process improvements Communicative Clearly conveys complex technical and business information Accountable Takes ownership and delivers results with integrity Collaborative Builds cross-functional partnerships and fosters team alignment Analytical Uses data-driven insights for strategic decision-making Adaptable Thrives in dynamic environments and embraces change Key Skills Technical Delivery Program Management Provider Data Management Credentialing Contracting Directories Resource Planning Stakeholder Management
