Summary: We're seeking an experienced VP, IAM Operations to manage identity and access management systems, including SailPoint, ForgeRock, and CyberArk, HashiCorp. Ideal candidates will have strong background in IAM operations and will lead and manage a 24x7 high-performing technical team within the IAM Cybersecurity function. The candidate will be responsible for managing service delivery, ensuring SLA adherence, mentoring team members, driving process optimization, and serving as a key escalation point for technical and process-related issues. This position requires a strategic mindset with strong leadership skills to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery.
Education: A bachelor's degree in IT, Security or equivalent work experience in an IAM security or IT operations field
Experience: 12+ years of IT experience, which includes at least 4+ years in IT Operations and at least 2+ years in IAM operations
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a Level 2 Domain Expert: Provide expertise in incident triage and root cause analysis for IAM security tools, ensuring effective resolution of security incidents. Oversee the execution of operational activities and ensure compliance with SLAs and KPIs. Act as a primary escalation point for major incidents and critical service-affecting issues. Participate in internal and external stakeholder meetings, providing updates and action plans on key issues.
- Optimize Operational Processes, service improvement: Design and refine operational processes to improve the efficiency and workflow of support teams and technical products using automation, review and refine operational processes to drive efficiency, automation, and service improvement. Develop shift rosters, allocate resources effectively, and ensure smooth operations. Ensure timely generation of daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports with analysis and insights.
- Mentorship and Development: Guide and support the growth of junior team members, encouraging internal expertise and professional development within the team. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide guidance for individual development plans.
- Maintain Technical Documentation: Ensure comprehensive technical documentation, user guides, SOPs, and training materials are up-to-date and accessible as needed. Facilitate knowledge transfer, on-the-job training, and maintain team documentation and SOPs.
- Ensure Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively across teams to ensure adherence to established operational processes and compliance with State Street's security policies.
- Enhance Customer Satisfaction: Strive to improve customer satisfaction by addressing concerns effectively and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Core/Must have skills
Technical Skills: Proficiency in at least 2 of the following IAM technologies-Identity Governance platforms (SailPoint preferred), Access management platforms (ForgeRock preferred), Privileged Access Management (Hashi Corp or CyberArk preferred)
Deep understanding of IAM principles, security best practices, and regulatory compliance. Business and technical understanding of Identity Governance and Administration processes and interactions with supporting processes and technologies
Proficiency in managing and understanding both cloud-based and on-premises infrastructures, encompassing aspects like server configurations and security protocols.
Deep knowledge of controlling and monitoring user access to applications, onboarding of business applications including setting up roles, permissions, and authentication methods, as well as understanding the implications these have on security and functionality
Experience in IT audit processes, with an understanding of audit methodologies, compliance standards, and risk management in IT, enhancing effectiveness in areas concerning security and regulatory compliance.
Leadership & interpersonal Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and ability to communicate to all levels of management as well as end users and strong customer service orientation.
- Work effectively with minimal direction.
Good to have skills
Experience in automation technologies (Python, RPA, Power Automate, etc.)
Certifications: Relevant IAM certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, or similar) are preferred
Experience in an core infrastructure services(UNIX / Linux OS, DNS, Wins, Firewalls, etc.)
Experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud services
Work Schedule
