Medication Dispensing Help in preparing, labeling, and packaging medications for patients. Learn the process of checking stock levels and ensuring correct medication is dispensed. Ensure that controlled drugs are managed according to laws and regulations. Customer Service & Patient Interaction Assist customers with queries regarding prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medicines. Provide information on dosage, usage, and potential side effects (under guidance). Maintain a courteous, professional, and empathetic approach when interacting with patients. Inventory Management Monitor stock levels, report shortages, and assist in ordering supplies. Check for expired or damaged medications and follow safe disposal protocols. Help in organizing and maintaining the pharmacy’s storage areas. Compliance & Safety Learn and adhere to pharmacy laws, drug safety standards, and ethical guidelines. Support the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Assist in maintaining proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes. Administrative Support Maintain patient records and prescription files. Assist in billing, cash handling, and reconciliation of daily sales. Support in preparing reports related to pharmacy operations. Learning & Development Participate in training sessions conducted by senior pharmacists. Stay updated on new medications, treatments, and pharmaceutical trends. Observe and learn the professional conduct required in healthcare environments.Required Skills Technical Skills Basic knowledge of pharmacology and drug classifications.
