Role description: - Fulfilling a senior role within the team, providing leadership, and mentoring to BIM teams. - For managing technical aspects of BIM production for projects or components of major projects. - For the development and implementation of BIM Execution Plans and project delivery strategy. - To research and develops opportunity for process improvement, application and data integration with relevant BIM softwares. - For managing the co-ordination and delivery of projects to meet time quality and budgetary targets, whilst meeting or exceeding Clients expectations. - For the implementation, management, and delivery of BIM on projects at a Business Unit Level. - To oversee the work and development of multiple colleagues working on large projects. Role accountabilities: - Provide technical advice to team members, to support them in their delivery on the project. - Coach and guide parties in the implementation and application of BIM. - Provide technical BIM leadership at a project level. - Provide internal training at a basic and intermediate level to all BIM staff. - Clearly understand the client's intended end uses of models developed and continuously implement any improvements with modelling/BIM processes to better align with those end uses. - Resolve complex modelling issues. - Actively attempt to present technical achievements at industry events on regular occasions, at least one per year, to support a strong professional profile. - Guide a project team through the BIM process and provide ad hoc assistance to the wider practice when required. - Chair and attend BIM review meetings. - Develop, review, approve and maintain the suite of BIM documentation guidelines including BIM standards, implementation plans and quality control procedures. - Liaising with Country BIM leads to ensure systems, processes and documentation developed is in line with global standards and best practise. - Creation of templates, families, and automation of software. - Manage software products including but not limited to incorporating new version releases and customisation of these products. - Plan, execute and manage the ongoing implementation of BIM within all disciplines in the region. - Develop, implement, and enforce BIM workflow processes and best practise. - Stay up to date with the latest best practise within BIM and the interaction of BIM software with other software used within the business. - Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards for all drawings released. - Provide expert support in the resolution of technical issues in the application execution of BIM. - Trouble shoot specific BIM related problems. - Coordinate and establish project standards with clients, design teams and stakeholders. - Identify trends and business opportunities relating to BIM and make recommendations. - Review progress, compliance and clash detection reports produced by the project BIM coordinator. - Define clash detection rules at various project stages, monitor the progress of the resolution of clashes and constructability issues. - Produce periodic reports to the team expressing progress with compliance and clash resolution. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture or Equivalent Courses / Technical Certification relating to BIM. - Preferably Ten (10) years experience working with BIM Projects. - Preferably Six (6) years experience in the use and application of BIM for International project design or construction. - Preferably Three (3) years experience in multi-BIM management. - Experience in managing and leading teams of BIM Modelers in the project environment. - Knowledge of international standards codes and best practise in relation to the application of BIM into project including ISO19650, RIBA and AIA standards. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Sound technical skills and ability to produce BIM models and CAD outputs to budget and programme. - Ability to adopt and operate in a flexible manner to suit the audience and situation. - Ability to build rapport with work colleagues. - Experience in the use and application of BIM in consultant environment is essential. - Must be able to work with, mentor, and develop BIM teams of lesser experienced BIM modeler. - Experience in the integration and application of BIM in a multi-disciplinary environment. - Have ability in setting up and coordinating a BIM Protocol and Execution Plan for a given project. - Able to provide input to estimates for the engineering budget and schedule and to oversee technical resources to meet requirements on large and complex projects. - Use appropriate scientific, technical, or engineering principles.
