- Perform regular database backups and restore operations as needed.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Implement security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Optimize SQL queries and database structures for performance improvements.
- Conduct capacity planning and database scaling activities.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3-6 years of experience in PostgreSQL administration or similar database management roles.
- Strong understanding of database design, architecture, and normalization concepts.
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/pg SQL programming languages.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery processes in PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of replication, clustering, and high-availability solutions.
- Ability to monitor and troubleshoot database issues effectively.
- Should understand Kannada language.
