Join Us in the International Seller Services Central Analytics Team and Tackle Data Warehousing and Reporting Challenges

We are a dedicated group of BIE, DE, DS, AS and BAs within the Seller Services organization at Amazon. Our mission is to deliver data-driven analytical solutions that empower sellers to thrive on Amazon's global platform. We specialize in constructing and maintaining intricate standard data pipelines that are used by thousands of users across the globe to measure, derive and analyze performance of the sellers selling on Amazon.

We are currently in search of a brilliant, self-driven, and seasoned Data Engineer I to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a major data warehouse migration project. This project includes building extensive data models and complex ETL pipelines and collaboration with global business and technical leaders

Key job responsibilities

As a Data Engineer at Amazon, you will work collaboratively with senior DE, BIE, product manager and other stakeholders to build data solutions that are stable and performant. Specifically, you will transport and process data between databases and files into databases, understand the business logic and design the suitable data model and drive resolution of data quality issues with source teams.

About The Team

The International Seller Services Central Analytics (ISS-CA) team is a highly specialized, cross-functional group tasked with driving critical business insights and breakthroughs. Composed of experts from diverse backgrounds, including scientists, economists, Business Intelligence Engineers, Data Engineers, and Business Analysts, this team is at the forefront of leveraging massive-scale data, advanced analytics, and machine learning techniques.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree
- 1+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with one or more scripting language (e.g., Python, KornShell)

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with any ETL tool like, Informatica, ODI, SSIS, BODI, Datastage, etc.
- Knowledge of AWS Infrastructure
- Experience with database, data warehouse or data lake solutions
- Experience with industrial database migration
