Responsibilities - Review and analyze radiology medical records to ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures. - Assign appropriate codes using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems for radiology services. - Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to clarify documentation and coding issues. - Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, regulations, and hospital policies. - Participate in coding audits and implement corrective actions as necessary. - Stay updated on changes in coding practices and regulations. Skills and Qualifications - 1-3 years of experience in medical coding, specifically in radiology. - Proficient in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems. - Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy related to radiology. - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding. - Ability to analyze and interpret medical records and documentation. - Strong communication skills to collaborate with medical staff and resolve coding queries.
