The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for applying principles of engineering, physics, and materials science for the design, analysis, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. This role involves working across the entire product lifecycle from conceptualization and design to testing, optimization, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver with strong analytical skills, proficient in CAD software, and committed to delivering high-quality, efficient, and reliable engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Development:
- Design mechanical components, products, systems, and tools using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, Fusion 360).

- Develop engineering drawings, specifications, and bill of materials (BOM) ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, IS codes).
- Translate project requirements and functional specifications into innovative and practical mechanical designs.
- Participate in the conceptualization phase, generating ideas and conducting feasibility studies for new products or improvements.
- Analysis & Simulation:
- Perform engineering calculations and analyses (e.g., stress analysis, thermodynamic analysis, fluid dynamics) to validate designs and predict performance.
- Conduct FEA (Finite Element Analysis) or other simulation techniques to optimize designs for strength, durability, weight, and cost.

- Identify potential design flaws and propose corrective actions.

- Prototyping & Testing:
- Oversee or participate in the prototyping phase, working with manufacturing teams to bring designs to life.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate design performance, reliability, and functionality.

- Analyze test data, identify discrepancies, and recommend design modifications based on results.

- Manufacturing Support & Optimization:
- Collaborate closely with production, quality control, and supply chain teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet quality standards.

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce production costs.

- Troubleshoot mechanical issues that arise during production or in the field.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare detailed technical reports, engineering specifications, and project documentation.

- Maintain accurate records of design changes, revisions, and test results.
- Present design concepts, analysis results, and project updates to internal stakeholders.
- Quality & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all designs and processes comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Conduct risk assessments related to mechanical designs and ensure safety features are incorporated.
