
Head of Marketing

The AVP/VP Marketing will play a pivotal role in driving brand growth and innovation by leading new product launches and strengthening existing brand portfolios. The role requires a blend of strategic foresight and operational excellence to conceptualize, develop, and execute winning go-to-market strategies in the dynamic FMCG landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
New Product Development & Launches
- Lead the end-to-end process of innovation and new product launches – from concept development, consumer testing, pricing, packaging, to market roll-out.
- Partner with R&D, supply chain, and sales to ensure timely and successful launches.
- Define launch objectives, positioning, communication strategy, and KPIs.
- Monitor post-launch performance and optimize for scale-up.
Brand Strategy & Management:
- Define and implement long-term brand positioning and growth strategies.
- Drive innovation and new product launches across categories.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all consumer touchpoints.
Consumer Insights & Market Research:
- Leverage consumer research, market intelligence, and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Translate consumer insights into actionable strategies.
Marketing Campaigns & Communication:
- Lead integrated marketing campaigns (ATL, BTL, digital, influencer, shopper marketing).
- Partner with creative, media, and digital agencies to deliver impactful campaigns.
Trade & Channel Marketing:
- Develop trade marketing strategies to strengthen retail presence and shopper engagement.
- Collaborate with sales to drive channel activation and distribution expansion.
Digital & E-commerce Marketing:
- Drive digital-first strategies, performance marketing, and content-led engagement.
- Strengthen brand presence across e-commerce platforms.
P&L & Budget Management:
- Own the marketing budget and deliver ROI-driven marketing programs.
- Monitor performance metrics and optimize spend allocation.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing marketing team.
- Drive a culture of innovation, agility, and consumer centricity.
MBA/PGDM from a premier institute (preferred).
15+ years of progressive experience in marketing within FMCG.
Proven track record in managing large FMCG brands and delivering business growth.
Strong exposure to brand management, digital marketing, and trade marketing.
Experience in launching and scaling new products.
