Job Description Teamware Solutions is seeking a skilled professional for the Load Runner role, focusing on ensuring the performance, scalability, and stability of our critical applications. This role involves working with relevant performance testing technologies, ensuring smooth operations under various load conditions, and contributing significantly to business objectives through meticulous analysis, development of test scripts, implementation of test scenarios, and troubleshooting within the Load Runner domain. Roles and Responsibilities: - Performance Test Strategy: Analyze non-functional requirements to understand performance, scalability, and reliability needs. Contribute to the design of comprehensive performance test strategies and plans. - Script Development (VuGen): Design, develop, and maintain robust and reusable performance test scripts using Micro Focus LoadRunner's Virtual User Generator (VuGen) across various protocols (e.g., Web HTTP/HTML, Web Services, TruClient, Citrix, Database). - Scenario Execution (Controller/Performance Center): Configure and execute various types of performance tests, including load tests, stress tests, soak tests, and scalability tests, using LoadRunner Controller or Performance Center. - Monitoring & Analysis: Monitor application and infrastructure performance metrics (e.g., CPU, memory, network, database) during test execution. Analyze test results using LoadRunner Analyzer to identify performance bottlenecks and root causes. - Reporting & Recommendations: Generate detailed performance test reports, summarize findings, and provide actionable recommendations to development and operations teams for performance improvements. - Troubleshooting: Perform in-depth troubleshooting of LoadRunner scripts, controller issues, and performance problems identified during testing. - Environment Management: Assist in setting up and managing performance test environments and data. - Collaboration: Work closely with development, quality assurance, operations, and architecture teams to ensure performance requirements are met throughout the software development lifecycle. - Best Practices: Adhere to performance testing best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the performance testing process. Preferred Candidate Profile: - LoadRunner Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Micro Focus LoadRunner, including advanced proficiency in VuGen, Controller, and Analyzer. - Scripting: Proficient in scripting for LoadRunner, typically using C language (for Web HTTP/HTML and other protocols) and JavaScript (for TruClient). - Performance Testing Concepts: Solid understanding of performance testing methodologies, types of tests (load, stress, endurance), and key performance indicators (KPIs). - Application Architecture: Familiarity with various application architectures (e.g., web-based, client-server, microservices) and database concepts. - Monitoring Tools: Knowledge of common application and infrastructure monitoring tools. - Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving complex performance issues. - Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate test findings and collaborate effectively with technical teams. - Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field. Relevant performance testing or LoadRunner certifications are a plus.
