Professor of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning

Woxsen University, a pioneering institution at the forefront of technology and innovation, invites applications from distinguished academicians and researchers for a full-time faculty position in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. We are looking for a visionary individual with a robust research background and a passion for mentoring the next generation of AI innovators. This role is central to our mission of bridging the gap between advanced academic theory and real-world industry applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Teaching & Curriculum Design: Develop and deliver state-of-the-art courses at the B.Tech, MBA, and Ph.D. levels. Topics may include Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, Reinforcement Learning, and AI Ethics. Design innovative curriculum and lab sessions that reflect the latest advancements in the field.
- Pioneering Research: Conduct groundbreaking research in AI/ML and publish findings in top-tier, globally recognized conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, ICLR) and high-impact journals. You will be expected to build and lead a research team.
- Research Funding & Collaboration: Actively pursue and secure national and international research grants. Foster collaborations with our industry partners, including our AI & Robotics Centre of Excellence, to work on sponsored research projects and solve complex business problems.
- Student Mentorship: Supervise Ph.D. theses, postgraduate dissertations, and undergraduate capstone projects. Guide students in research methodologies, publications, and participation in hackathons and global AI competitions.
- Institutional Leadership: Contribute to the strategic direction of the AI/ML programs at the university. Participate in academic governance, faculty recruitment, and building Woxsens brand as a leader in technology education.
Qualifications & Experience
- Educational Background: A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a closely related discipline from a globally top-ranked university is required.
- Research Excellence: A strong and consistent record of publications in premier AI/ML conferences and journals is essential. A healthy h-index and citation count will be a key consideration.
- Experience:
- Professor: A minimum of 10 years of post-Ph.D. academic/research experience, with a significant track record of research leadership, successful grant applications, and doctoral supervision.
- Associate Professor: A minimum of 8 years of post-Ph.D. experience with a proven ability to conduct independent research and a strong publication record.
- Assistant Professor: A Ph.D. with a promising research trajectory and demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching. Post-doctoral experience is highly desirable.
