Senior QA Automation Engineer

About the Role We are a next-generation accounting automation platform with AI capabilities, streamlining financial operations across Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable We are seeking a Lead - QA Automation Engineer with 5+ years of QA experience (including 3+ years in testing automation) to lead the charge in designing scalable automation frameworks, standardizing QA processes, and ensuring platform reliability. This is a senior hands-on role where you will not only lead strategy and mentorship but also dive deep into the code, test cases, and frameworks yourself whenever required—ensuring quality is achieved both at a leadership and execution level. Key Responsibilities - Automation Leadership - Architect, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for Spring Boot (Java) services, React JS UI, and Node/Python microservices. - Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality validation across builds. - Leverage AI/modern testing tools to accelerate automation coverage. - End-to-End Testing Across Finance Workflows - Create structured test plans, cases, and scripts covering AP bills, approvals, AR invoice generation, collections, and dashboards. - Validate workflow accuracy in invoice-to-cash, bill-to-pay, reconciliation, and reporting modules. - Ensure compliance with financial accuracy, audit trails, and system reliability. - Performance & Load Testing - Design and execute performance/load test scenarios for bulk transactions, high-volume billing, and large-scale reporting. - Use tools such as JMeter, k6, or Locust to identify bottlenecks and optimize scalability. - Standardization & QA Practices - Establish QA processes, templates, and documentation standards. - Define and implement defect tracking and reporting frameworks with measurable QA metrics. - Promote best practices for test coverage, automation ROI, and release quality. - Mentorship & Collaboration - Guide and mentor junior/mid-level QA team members on automation, tooling, and structured testing. - Collaborate closely with Development, Product, and Implementation teams to ensure QA is embedded in every stage of the lifecycle. - Act as a quality champion, ensuring reliability in accounting automation where accuracy = trust. Required Skills & Qualifications - 8+ years of experience in Software Testing, with 6+ years focused on Automation Testing. - Strong expertise in test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG). - Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python). - Experience with React UI testing, REST/GraphQL API validation, and Spring Boot service testing. - Proven expertise in performance/load testing (JMeter, k6, Locust). - Deep understanding of finance-related applications (ERP, accounting, invoicing, payroll, or financial SaaS). - Strong knowledge of AP, AR, billing, collections, and reporting workflows. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.). - Excellent documentation, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications - Prior experience working on finance-related applications (ERP, accounting, invoicing, payroll, payments, or financial SaaS platforms). - Exposure to payment processing flows (ACH, wires, checks, card payments). - Experience testing third-party financial integrations (e.g., Plaid, Checkbook.io, Deluxe Connect, Sage Intacct, NetSuite). - Awareness of compliance standards relevant to finance software (SOC2, PCI-DSS, audit readiness). - Experience defining QA metrics (coverage, release quality, defect leakage).
