Job Title: Senior QA Automation Engineer (Web & Mobile)

Location: Remote (Full Work from Home)

Work Hours: EST Shift (U.S. Eastern Time)

Experience Required: 56+ years

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced QA Automation Engineer to independently lead and manage the testing efforts of our web and mobile applications. This role requires strong ownership, initiative, and the ability to work with limited guidance while ensuring best-in-class product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the complete QA lifecycle across projects (strategy, planning, execution, reporting).
  • Develop, maintain, and scale automated test frameworks for web and mobile applications.
  • Perform automated and manual testing including:
  • Functional testing
  • Regression testing
  • Integration testing
  • Performance/load testing
  • Conduct performance testing to benchmark system responsiveness and stability.
  • Create detailed test plans, test cases, defect reports, and execution reports.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions and Azure.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders in Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Identify gaps, propose improvements, and drive QA best practices across the team.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–6+ years of hands-on experience in QA, with strong focus on automation testing.
  • Strong web UI automation experience using Selenium.
  • Automation experience for mobile applications (Appium or equivalent).
  • Strong performance/load testing experience using JMeter (or similar tools).
  • Strong experience in API testing and automation using:
  • Postman
  • REST-assured / Playwright API / Cypress API automation
  • Ability to interpret and work with Swagger / OpenAPI API documentation.
  • Proven experience integrating automated tests within CI/CD using:
  • GitHub Actions (required)
  • Azure (preferred for deployment integration)
  • Exposure to automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, STLC/SDLC, defect lifecycle.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills with ability to write detailed test scenarios and reports.
  • Ability to work independently, drive outcomes, and take ownership without handholding.

Nice to Have

  • Basic development or debugging experience in Angular and
  • Exposure or interest in penetration testing / security testing (OWASP awareness, vulnerability scanning).
  • Familiarity with monitoring or analytics tools such as New Relic or Datadog.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
