Position Overview The role of an accountant is to ensure accurate financial records and provide crucial financial information to support decision-making within an organization Accountants are responsible for managing financial transactions preparing financial statements analyzing data and maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations They play a critical role in the financial health and stability of a company Position Overview The role of an accountant is to ensure accurate financial records and provide crucial financial information to support decision-making within an organization Accountants are responsible for managing financial transactions preparing financial statements analyzing data and maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations They play a critical role in the financial health and stability of a company Key Responsibilities Financial Recording and Reporting Record and maintain financial transactions in accounting systems such as accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger Prepare financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies or irregularities Generate financial reports and provide insights to management for decision-making purposes Budgeting and Forecasting Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts Monitor actual performance against budgeted figures and identify areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support budgeting decisions Tax Compliance Prepare and file tax returns ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations Stay updated with changes in tax regulations and advise management on potential impacts Assist with tax planning strategies to optimize the company s tax position Auditing and Internal Controls Participate in internal and external audits providing necessary documentation and explanations Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data integrity Identify control weaknesses and recommend improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes Financial Analysis Conduct financial analysis to identify trends opportunities and potential risks Provide recommendations for improving financial performance and cost management Assist in evaluating investment opportunities cost-benefit analyses and financial feasibility studies Compliance and Regulatory Requirements Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards laws and regulations Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting principles and industry best practices Prepare and submit required government reports and filings accurately and on time Financial Systems and Software Utilize accounting software and other financial tools to streamline processes and enhance accuracy Identify opportunities for system improvements and collaborate with IT teams for implementation Qualifications and Skills Bachelor s degree in accounting finance or a related field Professional certifications such as CPA Certified Public Accountant or ACCA Association of Chartered Certified Accountants may be preferred Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role Solid understanding of accounting principles financial reporting and tax regulations Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office particularly Excel Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent organizational and time management abilities Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality Job Types Full-time Fresher Pay 8 000 00 - 12 000 00 per month Ability to commute relocate Malappuram Kerala Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work Required Education Bachelor s Preferred License Certification CA-Inter Preferred Work Location In person
