Role Description The Senior Electrical Technician will be responsible for performing electrical maintenance tasks, troubleshooting electrical systems, and ensuring the proper functioning of electrical equipment. The role involves conducting inspections, diagnosing issues, and implementing repairs or upgrades as needed. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, requiring a hands-on professional committed to maintaining high safety and operational standards in electrical systems. Qualifications - Proficiency in Electrical Maintenance and mastery of Electricity fundamentals - Experience in Troubleshooting and resolving electrical system issues - Strong knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles and practices - Hands-on expertise in maintaining and operating Electrical Equipment - Ability to interpret electrical drawings, diagrams, and schematics - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Familiarity with safety standards and adherence to regulatory compliance - Diploma / ITI in Electrical Engineering or relevant trade - Valid electrical license (as per local regulations) preferred - 58 years of relevant experience in industrial, manufacturing, or facility environments. Job Description The Senior Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. The role includes supervising junior technicians, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and minimizing downtime through preventive maintenance. Key Responsibilities - Install, test, and maintain electrical systems, panels, wiring, motors, and control systems - Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in machinery and building systems - Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure uninterrupted operations - Supervise and guide junior technicians and contractors - Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals - Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and company policies - Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment performance - Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams for project execution - Support electrical upgrades, installations, and commissioning activities - Respond to emergency breakdowns and resolve issues efficiently Required Skills & Competencies - Strong knowledge of electrical systems (LV/MV), panels, motors, VFDs, PLC basics - Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and fault analysis - Understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and lockout/tagout procedures - Ability to lead teams and provide technical guidance - Good problem-solving and communication skills - Equipment uptime and reliability - Maintenance cost optimization - Safety compliance and zero-incident record - Timely completion of maintenance tasks
