Company Description IS Global Service Center GSC operating from Chennai India is a part of IS supporting Expeditors IT operations IS GSC started with 6 employees now we are 540 employees today delivering world class Information services globally This Product based Strategic Center s IT transformation has delivered a radical change to Expeditors IT manpower profile and skills over the past few years and will continue to deliver services as we continue to grow responsibly in the coming years Expeditors is a global logistics company headquartered in Seattle Washington As a Fortune 500 company founded in 1979 we have employed over 19 000 trained professionals in a worldwide network of over 350 locations across six continents Expeditors satisfies the increasingly sophisticated needs of international trade through customized solutions and seamless integrated information systems SUMMARY The Enterprise Core Platform ECP is the Platform side manifestation of Expeditors new cloud-native Platform Tenant Architecture Cloud-native systems are designed to thrive in a dynamic virtualized cloud environment these systems make extensive use of Platform as a Service PaaS compute infrastructure and managed services This role will contribute by implementing continuous improvements that demonstrate the benefits of DevSecOps practices and technologies on premises and in the cloud They will play a key role in a cross-functional agile development team and will be responsible for implementing and maintaining various cloud-native components with a primary focus on application infrastructure automation and maintenance The ideal candidate will be a self-starter collaborative team player and problem solver KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide consulting to development teams on development process automation Managing and implementing cloud-native infrastructure software Build test and implement components of the Enterprise Core Platform Create cloud based micro-services to support the platform vision Provide flexible solutions emphasizing speed scale and agility Support and participate in DevSecOps practices and processes Delivering exceptional service to help customers build applications Ability to identify and automate recurring tasks for better productivity Conduct code reviews application and security testing to ensure fitness for use Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS At least 4 to 12 years of experience in cloud-native infrastructure development and deployment tooling At least two years experience in DevSecOps processes like build test secure and maintain infrastructure using tools like ArgoCD Terraform and or Bicep Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform Bicep and Azure Resource Manager Ability to develop Terraform K8S manifests or other forms of infrastructure as code Experience with Containers and Container Orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes Experience with installing and upgrading Java Tomcat Apache Nginx and related technologies Good hands-on experience with Python Java and Kubernetes operators Ability to identify and automate recurring tasks for better productivity Comfortable and effective at communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders Conduct code reviews application and security testing to ensure fitness for use Experience in Grafana observability stack Prometheus Grafana Loki Thanos Tempo Experience working with cloud native applications container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes Service AKS Familiar with SAFe Agile methodologies DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with DevSecOps GitOps and continuous improvement Experience developing technologies in Go and Rust A background working with continuous integration and delivery pipelines using Git ArgoCD and deployment operators Develop in-house tools and solutions to support our organization Exposure to on-prem Kubernetes and Azure cloud services Develop database models GraphQL API interfaces Experience in Grafana observability stack Prometheus Grafana Loki Thanos Tempo Experience with secret management software such as HashiCorp Vault Familiar with SAFe Agile methodologies Strong grasp of automation tools Experience in components like Helm Kustomize to automating security guardrails across the development lifecycle REPORTING STRUCTURE Team Manager Enterprise Core Platform Additional Information Expeditors offers excellent benefits Paid Vacation Holiday Health Plan Medical Insurance Employee Stock Purchase Plan Training and Education Programs Unlimited opportunities for career advancement
