Job description: Job Title: Atlassian Administrator / Jira Administrator Location: Ahmedabad - Onsite Duration: 3-5 years experience About the Role We are seeking an experienced Atlassian Administrator to manage and optimize our Jira and Confluence environments. This role involves end-to-end administration, workflow customization, user onboarding/offboarding, tool integrations, reporting, and ensuring governance across enterprise-scale instances. The ideal candidate must have deep hands-on experience with Jira Cloud and the Atlassian ecosystem. Key Responsibilities 1. Instance Administration - Create and configure Jira projects using standardized templates and schemes. - Customize Jira setups: custom fields, screens, issue types, workflows, boards, etc. - Design and maintain permission schemes, roles, and groups. - Ensure compliance with enterprise governance and security frameworks. 2. Security & Access Management - Manage user access, authentication, SSO, and identity provider configurations. - Partner with InfoSec and IT teams to ensure policy alignment across global instances. - Maintain secure and compliant administration of all Atlassian tools. 3. Workflow & Automation - Configure and enhance workflows to support Agile teams. - Implement Jira automation rules to reduce manual effort. - Optimize existing workflows and processes for better efficiency. 4. Integrations & Add-Ons - Configure integrations with engineering, CI/CD, and product management tools. - Manage and evaluate marketplace add-ons to support SDLC processes. - Support Jira REST API and webhook integrations for data-driven visibility. 5. Reporting & Analytics - Create custom dashboards and reports for leadership and Agile teams. - Define and track meaningful metrics related to delivery health and productivity. - Support teams with insights for improved planning and execution. 6. Support & Enablement - Provide application support for Jira and Confluence users. - Maintain documentation, governance standards, and training materials. - Collaborate with procurement and leadership on licensing, billing, and renewals. 7. Governance & Instance Management - Participate in Jira instance migrations, consolidations, and standardization efforts. - Ensure system stability, data integrity, and adherence to audit/change management processes. - Drive continuous improvement across Atlassian tool usage and governance. What You Bring - 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Jira Cloud in enterprise environments. - Strong knowledge of the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Marketplace apps). - Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). - Experience with test management tools, CI/CD integrations, and DevOps toolchains. - Proficiency with Jira REST APIs, webhooks, and scripting. - Excellent documentation and communication skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. - Ability to work independently within a distributed, global environment
