Job Description :
The Head of Accounts & Taxation will be responsible for overseeing the companys
entire Accounts, Finance, and Taxation functions. This role requires strong
leadership, in-depth knowledge of tax laws, and the ability to implement efficient
financial practices aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the Accounts & Taxation team ensuring accuracy,
compliance, and timeliness.
- Oversee accounting operations including finalization of accounts, MIS
reporting, and statutory compliance.
- Ensure compliance with all Direct and Indirect tax laws, including Income
Tax, GST, TDS, and other applicable regulations.
- Handle tax assessments, audits, and liaise with regulatory authorities.
- Formulate tax-efficient strategies while ensuring full compliance.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Ensure proper internal controls and compliance with accounting standards.
- Support management with financial analysis, decision-making, and strategic
planning.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and external
consultants.
- Drive automation and process improvement initiatives within accounts and
taxation functions.
Key Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards, Direct & Indirect Taxation
(Income Tax, GST, TDS, etc.)
- Expertise in tax planning, assessments, and regulatory compliance
- Proven experience in finalization of accounts, MIS, and audits
- Leadership & team management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and MS Excel
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
