About EvernorthEvernorth Health Services a division of The Cigna Group NYSE CI creates pharmacy care and benefits solutions to improve health and increase vitality We relentlessly innovate to make the prediction prevention and treatment of illness and disease more accessible to millions of people About Evernorth Evernorth Health Services a division of The Cigna Group NYSE CI creates pharmacy care and benefits solutions to improve health and increase vitality We relentlessly innovate to make the prediction prevention and treatment of illness and disease more accessible to millions of people Software Analysis Associate Advisor Sr BI Analyst and Visualization ExpertPosition Overview The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Advisor which is a Band 4 Contributor Career Track Role Excited to grow your career We value our talented employees and whenever possible strive to help one of our associates grow professionally before recruiting new talent to our open positions If you think the open position you see is right for you we encourage you to apply Our people make all the difference in our success We are looking for an exceptional Sr BI Analyst BI Visualization Cognos Developerin our PBM Plus Technology organization This role requires advanced expertise in BI tools and techniques with a strong focus on developing and maintaining BI reports and dashboards using Cognos This role involves working with critical data across customer provider claims and benefits domain to ensure comprehensive data solutions and high-quality deliverables They are expected to work closely with Subject Matter Experts developers and business stakeholders to ensure that application solutions meet business customer requirements Responsibilities BI Development Design develop and maintain BI reports using Cognos and other BI tools Ensure BI solutions are optimized for performance and scalability Develop and maintain Materialized Views to support complex data aggregation and reporting requirements Data Analysis Conduct in-depth data analysis to generate business insights and support strategic decision-making Identify trends patterns and anomalies in data and provide actionable recommendations Utilize Materialized Views to enhance data retrieval and processing efficiency Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and reporting capabilities Data Quality and Governance Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all BI outputs Participate in data quality and governance initiatives to maintain reliable data sources Continuous Improvement Stay updated with the latest BI technologies and trends Continuously improve BI processes and methodologies Support other product delivery partners in the successful build test and release of solutions Work with distributed requirements and technical stakeholders to complete shared design and development Works with both onsite Scrum Master Product QA and Developers and onshore and offshore team members in properly defining testable scenarios based on requirements acceptance criteria Work on a development team using agile methodologies Understand the Business and the Application Architecture End to End Solve problems by crafting software solutions using maintainable and modular code Participate in daily team standup meetings where you ll give and receive updates on the current backlog and challenges Participate in code reviews Ensure Code Quality and Deliverables Provide Impact analysis for new requirements or changes Responsible for low level design with the team QualificationsRequired Skills Extensive experience with BI tools particularly Cognos Proficiency in SQL and other data querying languages Strong data visualization skills and experience with tools like Cognos preferred Tableau Power BI acceptable Experience creating and managing Materialized Views in data warehouse and data lake environments Solid understanding of OOP Design Patterns and JSON Data Structures Strong understanding of parallel processing concurrency and asynchronous concepts Familiar with AWS and Redshift CI CD experience Recognized internally as the go-to person for the most complex software engineering assignments Required Experience Education 8 years of experience Experience with vendor management in an onshore offshore model Proven experience with architecture design and development of large-scale enterprise application solutions College degree Bachelor in related technical business areas or equivalent work experience Industry certifications in BI or data analysis e g CBIP etc Equal Opportunity Statement Evernorth is an Equal Opportunity Employer actively encouraging and supporting organization-wide involvement of staff in diversity equity and inclusion efforts to educate inform and advance both internal practices and external work with diverse client populations
