Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

- Plant Operations Supervision:
- Oversee day-to-day production and plant activities to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as maintenance, quality, logistics, etc., for seamless functioning.
- Ensure that plant operations are running efficiently and effectively.
- Housekeeping Supervision:
- Supervise the housekeeping team to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and upkeep of the plant premises.
- Implement and monitor adherence to 5S practices (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to maintain organized workspaces.
- Vendor Sourcing & Negotiation:
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors for various supplies, maintenance, and services.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to optimize cost-efficiency.
- Maintain records of vendor performance and ensure service standards are met.
- AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) Coordination:
- Coordinate with service providers for AMC of equipment and utilities.
- Schedule routine checks and ensure that maintenance is carried out to avoid any breakdowns.
- Maintain records of all AMC agreements and service reports for reference.
- Fire Fighting & Safety:
- Possess working knowledge of firefighting systems and protocols, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate fire safety drills and ensure all fire safety equipment (extinguishers, alarms, hydrants) are functional and up to date.
- Liaise with safety officers and external agencies as needed to ensure a safe working environment.
- Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all areas of plant operations.
- Prepare and submit operational and safety reports to management for review and action.

Candidates Profile:

- Educational Qualification: Diploma/degree in engineering, industrial management, or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in plant operations or a supervisory role in a manufacturing unit.
- Skills:
- Team supervision and people management experience.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of AMC procedures and preventive maintenance techniques.
- Familiarity with fire safety systems and emergency coordination protocols.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP is preferred.
