Job Description

This role is for a Senior Software Engineer to be a key contributor to a cloud platform, responsible for developing and testing complex applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Microsoft .NET and SQL technologies, a strong understanding of software development methodologies, and the ability to mentor and collaborate with a team.

Responsibilities

- Understand and interpret requirements, and contribute to technical architecture and design documents.
- Develop software across all architectural layers, following established coding and unit testing practices.
- Act as an agile team member, participating in and conducting code reviews, design reviews, and other collaborative activities.
- Utilize domain-driven techniques and design patterns to build and contribute to technical design.
- Serve as a mentor and expert resource on the team.
- Maintain a deep knowledge of implemented requirements and application behaviors.

Skills

- Strong Object-Oriented programming skills and a solid understanding of Object-Oriented design.
- Expert-level skills in .NET Framework (C#), ASP.NET Web API, Entity Framework, WCF Web Services, and MS SQL.
- Expert-level skills in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and experience with frameworks like AngularJS.
- Experience with T-SQL.
- Familiarity with MS Azure and Entity Framework Code First is a plus.
- Experience with source code version control and managing multiple active branches.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to transform user requests into robust solutions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

- A BS degree in computer information technology, computer science, management systems, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in application development, with significant experience using Microsoft .NET and SQL technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of n-tier, enterprise-scalable, distributed application environments.
