Job Description

What will your essential responsibilities include

- Specification of technologies, application architectures and data structures as a basis for application change for internal assets.
- Producing quality, secure, scalable, high-performing, and resilient designs for new or improved services.
- Leading the systems analysts, developers, and testers in sympathetic change to the applications.
- Monitoring change and performing reviews as needed.
- Supporting Application Managers to develop and maintain the Product Roadmap for internal assets.
- Defining and maintaining development standards such as system and data design, coding, etc.
- Maintaining a capacity plan with historical performance metrics, future forecasts, and a capacity model to ensure services and infrastructure meet performance and growth targets cost-effectively.
- Managing architecture exceptions for the application, including identifying, documenting, processing approvals, and supporting remediation.
- Monitoring application services to ensure performance consistently meets non-functional requirements (e.g., response time, security).
- Working with the Application Manager to define, analyze, plan, measure, and improve product availability and continuity.
- Leading the DevOps team and developers in the targeted use of DevOps for their application platform assets.

Required Skills and Abilities:

- Uphold technical integrity of internal assets at the logical and physical levels, ensuring designs and changes are based on an effective architectural foundation.
- Working experience with React and TypeScript, MS SQL, Azure, and containers (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
- Hands-on experience with Java and/or .NET.
- Experience leading and mentoring development and architecture professionals.
- Ability to lead analysts and developers in sympathetic technical change to the product.
- Assist in identifying proactive maintenance work.
- Develop, own, and publish product technical architecture and design documentation.
- Identify technical resources required to deliver the service and maintain plans for short-, mid-, and long-term support of business cases for technical investments (e.g., upgrades).
