Job Description

This role is for a creative and detail-oriented Web Developer who excels at creating functional and visually appealing user interfaces. The ideal candidate will be passionate about simplifying user-technology interactions and possess a strong skill set in both front-end development and user experience design.

Responsibilities

- Create functional and visually appealing user interfaces for websites, databases, computer programs, and applications.
- Plan projects directly with clients and develop wireframes and mock-ups.
- Organize complex information in a way that is simple, user-friendly, logical, and elegant.
- Convert various designs into fast, responsive websites, providing the best solutions.
- Strive to improve the health of applications through forward-thinking code improvements, process refinement, and new tooling.

Skills

- Exceptional communication skills for direct client interaction.
- Deep understanding of user experience and the ability to analyze and test usability.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, jQuery, and design tools like Photoshop/Fireworks.
- Experience in creating beautiful animations using JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, and AngularJS.
- Experience working with PHP-based websites.
- Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, and general web standards.
- A strong eye for pixel-perfect design with a focus on best practices.
- Solid expertise in open web standards technologies.
- The ability to write clean and intuitive form designs, as demonstrated in a portfolio.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and grow into a UI/UX developer/designer.
- Nice-to-have: Knowledge of back-end languages such as PHP, Python, or Ruby, and experience with frameworks like Symfony, Laravel, or Ruby on Rails.
