Who we are looking forIn this role as Assistant Vice President - Alpha Operations Client Pathways you will work with State Street teams from around the globe to lead multiple teams supporting the transformation of some of State Streets key middle office clients You will have leadership and strategy responsibility to oversee and deliver all day-to-day responsibilities of your teams in a fast-paced flexible and exciting environment The role will need to initiate and develop good communication and interpersonal relationships with operations technology and client relationship teams and IT to ensure any change initiatives maintain the high level of service that is currently being provided to these clients While this role is advertised to be in Bangalore we are open to considering candidates who are also based in Mumbai or CoimbatoreWhy this role is important to usThis is a transformation and managerial position with significant change the bank responsibility within Middle Office Services In addition to operational and team responsibilities this role is client facing with senior client leadership and acts as a primary escalation point for all in scope clients transformation agenda The candidate should be a hands-on leader who is required to ensure the teams under their responsibility undertake appropriate learning analysis documentation and implementation to both internal and external clients ensure timely response to client-initiated queries and escalation of any potential risks or issues which will impact our change delivery What you will be responsible forRole Definition Managing large projects from the beginning to the end or take over workstreams in complex initiativesPerforming an analysis of internal and external client requests in the project initiation phaseCoordinating deep dives into business requirements to ensure that they are exhaustive and clear to all involved partiesMaking a proposal for the project approachDefining and executing project governanceDeveloping an accurate timeline of project completion to ensure activities get completed within the assignments parameters and manage its executionManaging project dependencies risks issuesMonitoring and controlling project progressPerforming administrative tasks as required e g budget resource allocation resource monitoring Supporting project documentation tasks and project reportingAt Assistant Vice President level we require strong leadership and advanced skills in areas such as Strong demonstrable experience with change management programs in leadership roles Demonstrated ability to execute under challenging circumstances and deliver targeted outcomes Ability to navigate a large global organization Build meaningful relationships and develop an effective network Work successfully in a matrixed environment Effectively manage multiple stakeholders determine highest priorities for the organization identify and resolve contention between directives Proven leadership skills as well as managing and developing a high performing operation team Excellent time management presentation skills and communication to multiple levels clients other 3rd parties executives peers subordinates Flexibility across multiple communication formatsProven track record of achieving exceeding financial goals through expense discipline and headcount management Demonstrated ability to manage coach and influence colleagues and virtual team members Cross-cultural awareness and the ability to connect with colleagues globally in a collaborative open work environment To serve as a role model of acceptance and flexibility in dealing with colleagues with varying backgrounds The candidate for the Assistant Vice President Alpha Operations Client Pathways role will possess and or be able to demonstrate 10 years experience in financial services presently in a leadership role having managed large scale transformation roles Deep understanding of the Corporate Investment Banking landscape with experience leading transformation initiatives within Financial ServicesStrong Stakeholder and Relationship Management skillsIn-depth understanding of the linkage between information technology and business valueOperations experience program managing large scale initiatives and implementationsStrategic thinker with an ability to effectively partner with Operations and Transformation leads technology partners and senior managementCreative and analytical ability in problem resolution and troubleshootingCollaborative leadership and work styleAdditional requirementsOpenness to business travel where required
