Overview: Own and design the end-to-end migration strategy from legacy apps/databases to Target Cloud ecosystem. Drive scalable ingestion, transform, and validation flows; enforce data quality, and deliver audited reconciliation and cutovers with minimal downtime. Responsibilities: - Own the migration blueprint: scope, wave plan, system of record, cutover and rollback. - Lead data mapping and target schema design; set standards and guardrails. - Architect and review ETL/ELT on AWS Glue and serverless steps on Lambda. - Design and govern AWS DMS for full load and CDC; define readiness checks and cutover playbooks. - Embed data-quality controls and control totals; build reconciliation dashboards and drive sign-off. - Orchestrate and monitor pipelines with Step Functions and CloudWatch; optimize performance, cost, and security. - Produce runbooks and CI/CD for data code; mentor engineers and align with business stakeholders. - Contribute to adjacent PoCs and projects, reusing patterns and accelerators to speed delivery. Requirements: - 8+ years in data engineering; 4+ years leading data migrations as architect/lead. - Strong in AWS Services like Glue, AWS Lambda, SQL, and data modeling. - Experience with orchestration/ops (Step Functions, CloudWatch), retries/idempotency, and throughput tuning. - Demonstrated data quality and reconciliation practices; audit-ready documentation and sign-off. - Nice to have: S3, Athena/Redshift, Terraform/CloudFormation, and telecom domain exposure
