Supply Chain Planner

DESCRIPTION The Supply Chain Planner - Senior is responsible for managing daily supply chain operations across materials production planning logistics customer order management Domestic and Exports and inventory optimization The role focuses on ensuring customer satisfaction through on-time delivery inventory health and production scheduling while supporting multiple product lines including Fuel Systems MIW and CES assembly lines This is an onsite plant-based role and requires a physical presence in the plant five days a week to drive effective planning and execution Key Responsibilities Note - Although the role category specified in the GPP is Hybrid this is an Onsite Role requiring 5 days week plant presence for smooth operations and stakeholder alignment Lead and manage the end-to-end order life cycle for medium to complex customer accounts Domestic Exports Act as a single point of contact for customers resolving queries related to order processing scheduling pricing delivery status and availability Manage customer order planning fulfillment and supply chain performance for indirect materials and finished goods Coordinate and execute PPC Production Planning and Control for multiple assembly lines PCP1 lines Fuel System MIW CES - SU DU Drive resolution of order exceptions and customer issues in a timely and effective manner Liaise with cross-functional stakeholders to mitigate mid-term supplier or customer constraints Utilize materials planning systems e g APS PFEP BI Dashboards to manage supply demand and drive data-based decision making Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives and Six Sigma projects to streamline planning processes Mentor and coach junior planners support onboarding and training of new team members Ensure adherence to planning systems tools and internal control practices Analyze and interpret supply chain KPIs to identify and act on performance gaps Approve system strategy changes and planning parameter updates where necessary RESPONSIBILITIES Required Competencies Collaborates Builds strong relationships and works effectively across teams Customer Focus Creates customer-centric solutions and builds trust Communicates Effectively Adapts communication to suit varied audiences Ensures Accountability Follows through on commitments and holds others accountable Develops Talent Supports team development and knowledge sharing Global Perspective Understands global operations and supply chain flows Values Differences Promotes diversity and inclusion in decision-making Technical Skills Knowledge Materials Planning System Utilization Expert use of ERP and planning systems occasionally supplementing with Excel TOAD Access Part Change Control Management Manage ECRs obsolescence supersessions new releases with minimal impact on inventory PFEP Application Apply Plan for Every Part principles to ensure right-part right-time delivery across supply chain Master Supply Scheduling Develop and maintain Master Production Schedules aligned with procurement and production needs Analysis Troubleshooting Ability to transform and analyze data for planning and decision making Material Planning KPI Management Use dashboards and analytics to ensure parts availability optimize inventory and drive performance x QUALIFICATIONS Education Licenses Certifications Bachelor s degree required in Supply Chain Operations Engineering or related field This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations Experience 3-5 years of relevant experience in supply chain management preferably in a manufacturing or automotive environment Experience in production planning customer order fulfillment or logistics operations in a plant setting is highly preferred Job Supply Chain Planning Organization Cummins Inc Role Category Hybrid Job Type Exempt - Experienced ReqID 2415029 Relocation Package No
