Human Resources Manager

Job Description - Location: Kolkata, West Bengal (with extensive travel across Eastern and Western India) - Work Experience: Minimum 5 years (social sector experience preferred) - Compensation: Annual CTC up to 6 LPA (Fixed) + Variable Pay + Commitment Bonus - Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, Hindi, and Bengali (verbal and written) Position Summary The HR Manager will play a strategic role in strengthening SwitchON's human resources function by leading end-to-end recruitment, workforce planning, employee engagement, compliance, and cultural integration. This role is critical to building robust HR systems, improving retention, and creating a people-centric and inclusive workplace aligned with SwitchON's mission and values. Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning: - Lead end-to-end recruitment processes for all verticals, including senior-level hiring - Build and maintain talent pipelines; forecast workforce needs - Design and execute workforce planning strategies in line with organizational growth Onboarding & Culture Building: - Drive smooth onboarding and induction processes for new hires - Facilitate cultural orientation and values-based integration of staff HR Policy & Compliance: - Update, implement, and maintain HR policies and documentation - Ensure full compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements, and internal audits - Monitor and improve HR compliance audit scores HR Operations & Engagement: - Manage grievance redressal systems and conflict resolution - Support change management, employee engagement, and HR digitization Data & Leadership Reporting: - Regularly review HR data and compliance reports - Provide updates and insights to the senior leadership team Qualifications, Experience & Skills Educational Qualification: - Master's degree (MBA/PGDM) in Human Resource Management Technical Skills: - Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite - Experience with AI-based HR tools and digital documentation - Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Mindsets and Behavioural Competencies: - People-centric, empathetic, and approachable - Strategic thinker and proactive problem solver - An inclusive mindset with the ability to handle conflict with maturity Reporting Structure Reports To: Assistant General Manager Critical Supports Travel Requirements Extensive travel (3040%) across Eastern and Western India Compensation - Annual CTC: Up to 6 LPA (Fixed) - Additional Variable Pay + Commitment Bonus (based on qualifications, experience, and last drawn salary) - Reimbursements: Official travel, stay, and logistics as per organizational policy Application Process To apply, please complete the application form and upload your CV and cover letter via the following link: https://forms.gle/NmTGoJeumhFeSKkj8 About SwitchON Foundation Established in 2008, SwitchON Foundation is a pioneering non-profit organization committed to driving sustainable development through innovative solutions in climate-resilient agriculture, clean energy, green livelihoods, and industry decarbonization.
