Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a minimum of 3 years of practical experience, including articleship or industry-based exposure, to join our finance and accounts team. The ideal candidate must be process-driven, have an in-depth understanding of TDS, GST, statutory compliance, and reporting, and be proficient in Advanced Excel and Tally ERP/Prime. This role is ideal for CA semi-qualified professionals or dropouts who have a strong foundation in accounting, are eager to take ownership of their work, and are flexible in handling diverse financial functions. The candidate must ensure timely delivery of MIS, statutory filings, and assist in maintaining seamless compliance with applicable regulations.Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Bookkeeping Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions using Tally ERP or Tally Prime. Maintain general ledgers, journals, cash books, and bank reconciliations. Perform monthly and year-end closing activities with accuracy and speed. Prepare accruals, prepayments, and depreciation schedules as part of routine accounting. 2. Taxation & Compliance (TDS/GST) Handle TDS calculation, deduction, payment, and quarterly return filing (Form 26Q/27Q). Ensure proper classification and treatment of expenses liable to TDS under the Income Tax Act. Manage end-to-end GST compliance, including: GST input reconciliation (2A/2B) Monthly GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B filings Handling of GST credit reversals, interest, and late fees Coordinate with tax consultants/auditors for filings and assessments. 3. MIS Reporting Prepare and deliver timely and accurate Monthly MIS Reports including: P&L, balance sheet, trial balance Cash flow statements Debtors and creditors ageing reports Expense analysis, budget variance reports Automate and optimize reports using Advanced Excel functions (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Index/Match, Macros, Charts). 4. Audit & Internal Controls Assist in internal and statutory audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor queries. Ensure all vouchers, bills, and documents are audit-ready and properly filed. Implement and improve internal financial controls and SOPs. Reconcile inter-company and vendor accounts regularly. 5. Compliance & Documentation Ensure timely statutory filings (ROC, PT, PF/ESI, TDS, GST, etc.) in coordination with consultants. Maintain well-organized financial documents, statutory registers, and backups for regulatory needs. Keep abreast of changes in tax laws, GST notifications, and accounting standards. 6. Team Support & Cross-Functional Coordination Work closely with the operations, HR, and procurement teams to verify data and facilitate smooth flow of financial transactions. Support junior team members in reconciliations, payment processing, or documentation.
