Job Description We are seeking an experienced IT Asset Management (ITAM) Specialist to manage and optimize the lifecycle of IT assets across the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate asset records, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and implementing ITAM best practices to support cost control, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain the IT Asset Inventory (hardware and software) across the asset lifecycle from procurement to disposal. - Monitor and manage software licenses, usage, compliance, and renewals in line with vendor agreements. - Work with procurement and finance teams to support asset procurement, cost tracking, and budgeting. - Implement and enforce ITAM policies, standards, and governance processes. - Reconcile inventory records with physical audits and correct data discrepancies. - Ensure data accuracy and asset tracking using ITAM tools and CMDB (Configuration Management Database). - Support audits by preparing reports and documentation related to assets and software licensing. - Manage relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to track SLAs, warranties, and support contracts. - Collaborate with IT service management teams to support onboarding, upgrades, and decommissioning processes. - Provide regular reporting on asset status, compliance risks, and optimization opportunities. Required Skills & Qualifications: - 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in IT Asset Management or a related IT operations role. - Strong knowledge of IT hardware (desktops, laptops, servers, networking devices) and software asset management. - Experience with ITAM tools such as ServiceNow, Flexera, Ivanti, Snow Software, or similar. - Familiarity with software licensing models (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe). - Understanding of ITIL framework, especially in relation to Asset and Configuration Management. - Proficient in data analysis and reporting using Excel, Power BI, or other BI tools. - Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills: - ITIL Foundation certification. - Experience with ServiceNow CMDB or SAM Pro modules. - Knowledge of ISO/IEC 19770 (ITAM standards). - Understanding of cloud asset management (e.g., SaaS, IaaS subscriptions).
