The Role:

We're looking for an Engineering Lead with 8+ years of experience to own and scale our healthcare platform across India, the Middle East, Latin America, and the US. You'll architect scalable systems, lead a distributed engineering team, and stay hands-on with critical technical decisions and code.

This is not a framework-focused roleyou must be strong in Python fundamentals, able to design APIs, build healthcare interoperability systems, architect AI pipelines, and solve complex problems beyond Django/FastAPI/Flask. You'll also need hands-on Angular expertise to guide frontend architecture and unblock your team. What You'll Do

Technical Leadership

- Own end-to-end platform architecture for EMR/HMS systems serving multiple geographies with 99.9%+ uptime requirements
- Design and code Python-based APIs, data processing pipelines, healthcare integrations (HL7/FHIR), and AI model inference systems
- Review and guide Angular frontend architecture, component design, API integration patterns, and performance optimization
- Architect clinical data models, longitudinal patient records, and migration strategies for legacy EMR systems
- Lead productionization of clinical intelligence and AI models, managing inference pipelines and governance frameworks
- Oversee multi-region infrastructure, DevOps pipelines, and compliance across HIPAA, GDPR, and ABDM regulations.

Team & Delivery

- Manage and mentor backend, frontend, QA, and DevOps engineers across distributed teams
- Translate product requirements into scalable, compliant technical solutions
- Establish engineering culture focused on ownership, quality, reliability, and clinical safety
- Lead technical due diligence and architecture planning for new market entries
- Manage timezone coordination and deployment strategies across 4+ regulatory environments.

Hands-On Contribution

- Write and review production code for critical backend and frontend systems
- Debug complex production issues in healthcare environments
- Make architectural decisions across the full stack and unblock teams when needed

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

- 8+ years of software development with deep Python expertise (API design, system architecture from scratch, not just framework usage)
- Hands-on Angular and TypeScript experience for frontend architecture, code review, and team guidance (you won't write Angular daily, but must be able to make technical decisions and unblock the frontend team)
- 3+ years building healthcare IT systems with production experience in HL7/FHIR, EMR/HMS platforms, or clinical data systems
- 3+ years in technical leadership managing distributed engineering teams
- Production experience deploying AI/ML systems in regulated environments
- Strong background in cloud-native architecture (AWS/GCP/Azure), microservices, and databases (Postgres, MongoDB, Redis)
- Proven experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD for multi-environment deployments
- Track record managing system uptime >99.9% for business-critical applications

Technical Skills

- Expert-level Python for healthcare integrations, data processing, and automation
- Production Angular experience with enterprise applications (state management, component architecture, performance optimization)
- Deep understanding of healthcare interoperability standards and compliance frameworks
- Experience architecting for LATAM, Middle East, or emerging market infrastructure constraints
