Job Category Enterprise Technology Degree Level Bachelor s Degree or equivalent At Ford Motor Company we believe freedom of movement drives human progress We also believe in providing you with the freedom to define and realize your dreams With our incredible plans for the future of mobility we have a wide variety of opportunities for you to accelerate your career potential as you help us define tomorrow s transportation Ford Customer Service Division within Ford is committed to provide our customers the Always On experience and our mission is to get our customers back on the road in the shortest possible time FCSD Tech delivers world class software that our Dealers use to Diagnose Repair Service our vehicles Customers use for a seamless Service experience Ford enterprise uses to run a highly Profitable Critical and Complex Parts Service business FCSD is a true one-stop shop offering comprehensive Diagnostics Repair Service Capabilities for a full portfolio of Electrified Hybrid and Internal combustion vehicles globally FCSD Tech is looking for Software Engineers that embrace Agile Programming principles to deliver innovative software products for Ford Motor Company and our Dealers and Customers Responsibilities Ability to design develop and maintain Mainframe COBOL JCL to meet support and or project requirements Experience using source code management tools such as Endevor and GitHub Quick starter to troubleshoot resolve incidents and business support items Ability to perform application support tasks systems support security audit reviews and maintenance tasks Willingness to assist and troubleshoot current Mainframe environment participating in production support pager duty rotation including weekend and off-hour support coverage Experience with CA Agile Central Rally backlogs iterations user stories or similar Agile Tools Highly effective in working with other Mainframe Engineering and DBA technical specialists Product Managers and business partners Ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize work based on business impact and urgency Qualifications The minimum qualifications we seek Bachelor s degree in computer science or equivalent 8 years experience in mainframe development background in design analysis and coding COBOL IMS JCL CA7 DB2 and or SQL Teradata and real-time and batch processing 1 Year Experience in Mainframe modernization 1 years experience implementing z OS connect SFTP SOAP and REST APIs and other methods for system to system communication and data exchange Ability to design develop and maintain Mainframe COBOL JCL to meet support and or project requirements 1 year experience in Big Q Experience using source code management tools such as Endevor and GitHub Quick starter to troubleshoot resolve incidents and business support items Ability to perform application support tasks systems support security audit reviews and maintenance tasks Excellent teamwork written and verbal communication and organizational skills are essential ability to solve complex problems in a global environment Ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize work based on business impact and urgency Unit and integration testing experience Ability to work independently and take initiative when solving unexpected problems Our preferred qualifications Willingness to assist and troubleshoot current Mainframe environment participating in production support pager duty rotation including weekend and off-hour support coverage Experience with Jira backlogs iterations user stories or similar Agile Tools Highly effective in working with other Mainframe Engineering and DBA technical specialists Product Managers and business partners Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage changing priorities
