Stipend: 10,000 INR About Us: CropXplore is an agri-deeptech startup building indigenous, affordable, and portable agri-drones for India's small and marginal farmers. We operate at the intersection of climate-tech, deep-tech, and rural empowerment. Backed by early traction and pilots, we're now scaling through government programs, institutional partners, and ecosystem enablers. We will be the Urban Clap for Agritech. We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Business Development Intern to support our growth in the fast-evolving drone and UAV sector, particularly in agriculture, surveying, and industrial applications. The intern will work closely with the BD, operations, and technical teams to identify opportunities, generate leads, support client communication, and assist in converting inquiries into business. Key Responsibilities 1. Lead Generation & Market Research Identify potential customers in agriculture, and enterprise sectors. Research industry trends, competitors, and new business opportunities. Build and maintain a prospect database (farmers, distributors, service providers, FPOs, dealers, B2B clients). 2. Client Outreach & Communication Make introductory calls, send emails/WhatsApp communication, and schedule meetings. Assist in preparing business proposals, quotations, and presentations. Explain drone features, capabilities, and service offerings (training will be provided). 3. Sales Support & Coordination Follow up with leads and track progress in CRM or spreadsheets. Coordinate with internal teams (operations, service, finance) for order processing. Support in organizing demos, field trials, exhibitions, and customer visits. 4. Reporting & Documentation Maintain daily/weekly reports on leads, calls, conversions, and activities. Document customer feedback, market intelligence, and competitor movements. Skills & Qualifications Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Engineering, Agriculture, Marketing, or related field. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Interest in drones, agriculture technology, or emerging tech is a plus. Basic knowledge of MS Office / Google Workspace. Ability to learn quickly, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Learn Practical exposure to the drone industry and agri-tech ecosystem. Lead generation, deal structuring, and customer engagement skills. Hands-on understanding of drone products, regulations, and market use cases. Sales and business development strategies.
