About the Role

- Infosys, a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting, is seeking a Consultant with Technology Project Management expertise to join our Energy Consulting Vertical. In this client-facing role, you will collaborate with leading energy organizations to drive digital transformation and lead large-scale programs that align with strategic business objectives. You will be responsible for delivering measurable business impact while effectively balancing scope, schedule, and cost across complex initiatives.
- You will lead complex, large-scale technology transformation programs, driving high-quality outcomes through disciplined execution and proactive stakeholder engagement. Success in this role demands a strong consulting mindset, deep technology expertise, and robust project management capabilities to navigate the unique challenges and opportunities within the energy sector.

Responsibilities:

- Supporting pursuits with large Oil & Gas/Utilities prospects by articulating Infosys' unique value proposition through practical use cases across the value chain.
- Gathering, identifying, and documenting business requirements and creating functional specifications for new systems and processes.
- Assessing as-is processes, conducting gap analysis, designing to-be processes, and recommending changes. Experience with Six Sigma, Lean, or similar methodologies to drive continuous improvement in technology projects.
- Drive strategic delivery of large-scale technology programs within the energy sector, leveraging Agile and DevOps practices in a globally distributed, multi-vendor environment.
- Lead complex projects with full lifecycle ownership, collaborating closely with client stakeholders and IT PMO.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure alignment across technical and business teams.
- Support digital solution implementation, including business case development, IT strategy, and tool selection.
- Provide hands-on technical oversight and strategic guidance to ensure successful outcomes.
- Project Execution: Own the full lifecycle from planning to post-implementation, managing scope, resources, budget, and timelines.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison, ensuring clear communication and alignment across technical and business stakeholders.
- Technical Leadership: Provide guidance on architecture and delivery quality, with domain expertise in energy technologies (e.g., IT/OT systems, grid modernization).
- Team Management: Lead global, cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and performance.
- Risk & Change Management: Proactively manage risks and scope changes through structured governance.
- Methodology: Apply Agile/Scrum practices to ensure efficient, high-quality delivery aligned with Infosys standards.

Required Qualifications:

- Domain: 7+ years driving technology transformation initiatives in business-facing roles such as Business Analysis, Product Design, or Project Management, particularly within digital programs in the Oil & Gas/Utilities domain.
- Project Management: 4+ years as a Technical Project Manager leading software development or implementation projects, with proven success in the energy, oil & gas, or utilities sectors.
- Methodology & Delivery: Strong experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies, managing globally distributed teams and multi-vendor environments.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Skilled in coordinating across client stakeholders, technology vendors, and IT PMO to ensure strategic alignment and successful delivery.
- Strong grasp of business analysis principles with proven experience in gathering and documenting requirements, and translating business needs into effective technical designs
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to convey ideas to technical and non-technical audiences,
- Broad understanding of one or more modern digital technologies (e.g., Robotic Process Automation, Digital Transformation, Business Intelligence, AI/ML, Big Data, Data Analytics, IoT).
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), modern software architectures (e.g., microservices, APIs), DevOps practices, CI/CI pipelines, and proficiency in tools like Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Project.
- Bachelor's degree (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology) or Full-time MBA/PGDM from Tier 1/Tier 2 B-Schools in India or foreign equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge of one or more digital technologies (Robotic Process Automation, Digital transformation, Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data technologies, Data Analytics, IoT etc.) and its application in Oil & Gas/Utilities Industry
- Certifications: PMP, CSM (Certified ScrumMaster), or SAFe certification
- Excellent teamwork, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
- Ability to work as part of a cross-cultural team including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary
- Ability to interact at mid-level managers of clients' organizations
- Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and to build strong relationships with clients
- Technology Experience: Hands-on experience with technologies like .NET, Java, or specific energy-related platforms.

- All Infosys DC in India in Tier 1 & 2 cities (Except Gurgaon, Mumbai)
