Job Description Job Description: Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle Apps DBA) Experience: 8+ years Location: Mumbai | Hybrid Notice Period : Upto 60days Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator / Oracle Apps DBA to manage, maintain, and support Oracle Databases and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environments. The role involves database administration, application support, performance tuning, automation, security, disaster recovery, and proactive system monitoring across multiple Oracle versions. Key Responsibilities Database Administration Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle Databases (9i, 11g, 12c, 19g). Perform database creation, sizing, capacity planning, and performance tuning. Manage database users, roles, privileges, password policies, and access reviews. Handle database locking issues, space management, and object maintenance. Perform database export/import operations. Create, review, and execute DDL/DML scripts. Implement database security features such as TDE, e-wallet, DB Vault, and Oracle Key Vault. Backup, Recovery & Disaster Recovery Implement and manage RMAN hot and cold backups. Perform backup validation and recovery testing. Configure and support Data Guard Physical Standby for disaster recovery. Proactively monitor backup jobs and resolve failures. Oracle E-Business Suite (Apps DBA) Install, upgrade, clone, and patch Oracle EBS (11i, R12 12.1 & 12.2). Perform application and database cloning. Manage AD utilities and Online Patching (ADOP). Administer Concurrent Managers and resolve concurrent request issues. Manage workflows and Workflow Administrator configuration. Handle SYSADMIN activities including: User administration Responsibilities and request groups Printer setup Form registration Custom application registration System & Infrastructure Support Work on Linux/Unix environments. Monitor systems proactively and address performance and availability issues. Manage log files and perform regular cleanup. Provide first-level escalation support for technical and process-related issues. Monitoring, Automation & Tools Use Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM 12c/13c Cloud Control) for monitoring and alerting. Develop shell scripts to automate routine DBA and Apps DBA tasks. Support and maintain WebLogic Server components. Implement automation for monitoring, maintenance, and reporting. Performance Tuning & Optimization Perform database and application-level performance tuning. Tune SQL and PL/SQL queries using Oracle performance tools. Identify performance bottlenecks proactively and implement solutions. Governance & Documentation Plan and schedule changes, coordinating with multiple stakeholders. Maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks. Provide subject matter expertise (SME) for Oracle Database and EBS-related issues
