Job Description Job Title: Senior Cloud Engineer Designation: Assistant Vice President Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Senior Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in Java REST API development, AWS cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and container orchestration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing secure, scalable cloud-native applications, automating infrastructure with Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation, and deploying microservices using Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with identity platforms such as HashiCorp Vault or Ping Federate is a strong plus. Key Responsibilities - Architect and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions on AWS using best practices. - Design and develop robust RESTful APIs using Java (Spring Boot, JAX-RS) for distributed systems and microservices. - Implement advanced API security, versioning, and documentation using tools like Swagger/OpenAPI. - Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform (with modular design), Ansible (with dynamic inventories), and AWS CloudFormation (nested stacks and macros). - Manage containerized workloads using Docker, including multi-stage builds, image hardening, and registry integration. - Deploy and orchestrate microservices using Kubernetes (EKS), including Helm charts, RBAC policies, network policies, and custom controllers. - Implement AWS security controls including IAM roles/policies, KMS encryption, GuardDuty, Config Rules, and Security Hub integrations. - Integrate identity federation and secrets management using HashiCorp Vault or Ping Federate. - Apply AI/ML techniques to enhance cloud security posture, anomaly detection, and predictive scaling. - Collaborate across DevOps, Security, and Engineering teams to enforce DevSecOps principles and CI/CD automation. - Conduct cloud security audits, compliance assessments (e.g., CIS benchmarks), and implement automated remediation workflows. Qualifications - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience). - 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or security engineering roles. - Expert-level proficiency in Java development, RESTful API design, and backend integration. - Advanced experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, KMS, CloudFormation, EKS, etc.). - Strong hands-on experience with Terraform (state management, workspaces, modules), Ansible (roles, playbooks, vault), and CloudFormation (YAML/JSON templates, change sets). - Deep understanding of Docker (volumes, networking, security) and Kubernetes (pods, services, ingress, autoscaling, monitoring). - Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault / Terraform or Ping Federate for secrets and identity management. - Exposure to AI/ML models applied to cloud operations or security is a plus. - Strong knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and container security. - Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
