Mission of the Role:
As a Global Mobility Specialist at Visteon, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of international mobility and relocation services for our employees. You will collaborate closely with Business leaders, HR, Legal, Finance, and external vendors to provide extensive support and guidance throughout the assignment lifecycle to ensure a positive experience for employees relocating globally.
Key Objectives of this Role:
- Manage the end-to-end international assignment process, including assignment planning, immigration, tax compliance, relocation logistics, and repatriation.
- Develop and implement global mobility policies, ensuring alignment with business objectives, compliance with regulations, and competitive positioning in the industry
- Stay updated on global mobility trends, legislative changes, and industry benchmarks to continuously enhance and innovate our mobility programs.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to employees and business stakeholders on international assignment terms, policies, and best practices.
- Coordinate with external vendors such as relocation agencies, tax advisors, and immigration lawyers to facilitate smooth mobility experiences.
- Conduct briefings and orientation sessions for expatriates and their families, covering cultural, logistical, and practical aspects of living and working abroad.
- Monitor assignment costs and budgets, ensuring effective cost management and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Stay updated on international mobility trends, legislative changes, and industry benchmarks to continuously improve mobility programs.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners to support talent management initiatives and ensure seamless integration of global mobility strategies with talent development plans.
- Leveraging technology solutions to streamline processes related to assignment management, reporting, and employee support.
Key Performance Indicators:
Assignment Success Rate
- Percentage of successful assignments vs. total assignments.
Compliance Rate
- Adherence to local immigration and tax regulations for expatriates.
Cost Management
- Actual vs. budgeted costs for global assignments.
Turnaround Time for Assignments
- Time taken from assignment approval to employee relocation.
Relocation Service Satisfaction
- Satisfaction scores for relocation services provided (housing, schools, etc.).
Vendor Management
- Performance and satisfaction scores of third-party vendors.
Qualification, Experience and Skills:
- Master's / bachelor's degree in business management
- Minimum of 8+years of experience in global mobility, international HR, or expatriate management.
- In-depth knowledge of international assignment policies, immigration laws, tax implications, and compliance requirements.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across different cultures and work effectively in a global team.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and finding innovative solutions.
