. Patient Care:   ·        Renders direct nursing care to the sick patient as assigned by the ward sister. ·        Ensure comfort of the patient. ·        Educates the patient according to the need. ·        Helps the ambulatory patients according to their need. ·        Maintains treatment records, medicines, injections etc. ·        Maintain nurses report. ·        Gives report to the ward sister regarding patients. ·        Maintains admission, discharge, death registration. ·        Responsible for  house keeping of the ward. ·        Administers all the drugs according to standing order of the hospital. ·        Ensure sending of laboratory specimens for investigations. ·        Renders pre and post operative care. ·        Takes rounds with doctors and reports the patients’ condition. ·        Maintains various charts, e.g. Intake, output chart, drainage etc. ·        Maintains liaison with patients' relations and gives them correct information regarding the patients. ·        Assist doctors in carrying out treatment e.g. Blood transfusion etc. ·         Helps to solve the mental and emotional problems of patients. ·        Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of her unit. ·         Ensure proper sterilization and disinfection of the equipment according to the    requirement. ·         Maintain sub-stock. ·        Renders adequate death care including adequate reporting, recording handling and dealing with the patients' relations and gives due respect to the relatives of the patients. ·        Gives necessary health education to the patient along with explanations regarding follow up care recommendations on the discharge slip. ·        While working in any special unit, needs to handle special gadgets with adequate training. (E.g.
