About The Role

We're looking for a SEO Assistant Manager to join our fast-growing eCommerce team in Ahmedabad. You'll be part of a team responsible for growing organic traffic for multiple brands across international markets. This is a hands-on role for someone ready to execute, experiment, and learn daily. From keywords to schema markup to analytics dashboards you'll get to touch every part of modern SEO. You'll work closely with high-performance teams and benefit from best-in-class guidance as you master the art and science of organic growth.

Job Responsibilities

- Strategize and Own SEO & GEO: Take complete ownership of our comprehensive SEO and GEO (generative engine optimization) strategy and its execution. This includes setting ambitious targets, driving initiatives to achieve them, and consistently exceeding performance goals.
- Execute Technical SEO Implementation: Manage all aspects of technical SEO, including implementing schema markup, optimizing site speed, resolving crawlability and indexation issues, and ensuring overall site health. You'll be proficient with tools like Google Search Console and comfortable engaging with code as needed.
- Leverage Technical Depth for Solutions: Utilize your comfort with APIs, automation tools, and scripting to debug crawl issues and build programmatic SEO solutions.
- Drive Rapid Iteration & Optimization: Lead a fast-paced approach to SEO by launching content experiments, rigorously tracking their performance, and quickly scaling successful initiatives. This role requires decisive action over analysis paralysis, focusing on rapid testing and continuous improvement.
- Oversee Scalable Content Production: Contribute directly to content production by generating and refining drafts using AI tools, editing contributions, and ensuring all content adheres to our high-quality standards at scale. This includes owning SEO best practices across Product Detail Pages (PDPs), Listing Pages, and other critical site sections.
- Master Content Strategy: Apply a deep understanding of topic clusters, search intent, and competitive analysis to build strong content moats that secure and expand our organic reach.
- Harness Generative AI: Expertly leverage Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to automate and significantly scale content creation, perform detailed listing audits, and execute advanced keyword clustering.
- Champion Automation & Systemization: Build and maintain automation flows using tools such as n8n/Make (formerly Integromat), connect APIs, and systemize repetitive SEO tasks, including reporting. Identify and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and scale operations through automation.
- Make Data-Driven Decisions: Live and breathe analytics, conducting SEO experiments, and consistently demonstrating impact through quantifiable metrics. You'll discern critical performance indicators from vanity metrics to ensure strategic decisions are based on solid data.
- Stay Ahead of Industry Trends: Continuously monitor and integrate the latest industry trends, compliance regulations, and best practices in SEO and content writing to maintain our competitive edge.
- Utilize Industry-Standard Tools: Possess strong experience with a wide array of industry-standard SEO tools, including Ahrefs, Moz, Majestic, SEMRush, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, BrightLocal, and demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.

What We Require (Desired Skills And Experience)

- 5+ years of experience in SEO, primarily in e-commerce.
- Deep expertise in SEO (search term optimization, CTR/conversion levers, keyword hierarchy, and competitive intelligence).
- Hands-on experience using GenAI tools like ChatGPT to optimize workflow or content at scale, and a passion for emerging technology.
- Ability to identify and recommend solutions to technical SEO problems, including but not limited to page elements, CMS, information architecture, URL structure, and server-related issues.
- Strong project management skills, ability to lead initiatives internally.
- Creative yet analytical mindsetyou can identify inefficiencies, test solutions, and turn insights into repeatable processes.
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of influencing a variety of teams and senior stakeholders.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and Tech stack
