Key Responsibilities - Supplier Identification & Evaluation: Research and assess potential suppliers for electrical components like inverters, transformers, switchgear, and wiring systems used in solar installations. - Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and service agreements to ensure cost-effective procurement without compromising quality. - Technical Collaboration: Work closely with design and project engineers to ensure procured items meet technical specifications and project requirements. - Inventory & Logistics Management: Monitor inventory levels, forecast future needs, and coordinate timely delivery of materials to project sites. - Quality Assurance: Ensure all procured equipment complies with industry standards and certifications relevant to solar energy systems. - Cost Optimization: Conduct cost-benefit analyses and identify opportunities for savings through strategic sourcing and vendor partnerships. 🎓 Qualifications & Skills - Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. - Experience: Minimum of 05-08 years in procurement or supply chain roles, preferably within the solar or renewable energy industry. - Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with solar PV systems, electrical schematics, and grid integration components. - Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems, procurement platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite. - Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. 🌞 Industry-Specific Expectations - Renewable Energy Focus: Understanding of solar technologies, sustainability goals, and regulatory frameworks.
