Key Responsibilities- Supplier Identification & Evaluation: Research and assess potential suppliers for electrical components like inverters, transformers, switchgear, and wiring systems used in solar installations.- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and service agreements to ensure cost-effective procurement without compromising quality.- Technical Collaboration: Work closely with design and project engineers to ensure procured items meet technical specifications and project requirements.- Inventory & Logistics Management: Monitor inventory levels, forecast future needs, and coordinate timely delivery of materials to project sites.- Quality Assurance: Ensure all procured equipment complies with industry standards and certifications relevant to solar energy systems.- Cost Optimization: Conduct cost-benefit analyses and identify opportunities for savings through strategic sourcing and vendor partnerships.Qualifications & Skills- Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.- Experience: Minimum of 03-05 years in procurement or supply chain roles, preferably within the solar or renewable energy industry.- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with solar PV systems, electrical schematics, and grid integration components.- Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems, procurement platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.Industry-Specific Expectations- Renewable Energy Focus: Understanding of solar technologies, sustainability goals, and regulatory frameworks.
