Key Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters on GCP GKE (managed services).

Perform manual Kubernetes installation and configuration on on-premises infrastructure (bare-metal or VM-based).

Implement and manage hybrid cloud connectivity between on-prem clusters and GCP.

Configure and maintain Kubernetes networking, storage, and security policies.

Manage CI/CD pipelines and integrate container workloads with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins,GitLab, ArgoCD).

Monitor cluster health,performance, and capacity using observability tools (e.g., Prometheus,Grafana, Stackdriver).

Ensure high availability,disaster recovery, and backup strategies for Kubernetes workloads.

Troubleshoot cluster-level and workload-level issues (pods, nodes, networking, storage).

Apply best practices for cost optimization, security hardening, and compliance in GCP and on-prem environments.

Work with development teams to containerize applications and ensure smooth deployments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

Proven experience in manual Kubernetes installation and configuration on-premises (kubeadm,Rancher, or other tooling).

Knowledge of Docker,Helm, Istio, or service mesh frameworks.

Familiarity with GCPservices (Cloud IAM, VPC, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, etc. ).

Proficiency with Linux administration, networking, and shell scripting.

Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, GCP Cloud Operations).

Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager).

Understanding of RBAC, secrets management, and Kubernetes security best practices.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in both cloud and on-prem environments.
