Position Title Engineer Service Engineering Automation Location India Pune Department Service Engineering Cloud Services About GTT GTT provides secure global connectivity improving network performance and agility for your people places applications and clouds We operate a global Tier 1 internet network and provide a comprehensive suite of cloud networking and managed solutions that utilize advanced software-defined networking and security technologies We serve thousands of businesses with a portfolio that includes SD-WAN and other WAN services internet security and voice services Our customers benefit from a customer-first service experience underpinned by our commitment to operational excellence For more information on GTT please visit Role Summary The Service Engineering Automation team is responsible for the implementation management and maintenance of hybrid and private cloud solutions for its enterprise customer base The team is consisting of highly experienced professionals with years of experience in operating and maintaining all building blocks of sophisticated cloud designs Virtualization Storage Backup and OS management mixed with DevOps mentality and practices are what sets this team apart and what makes it a welcoming environment for skilled IT enthusiasts looking for a new challenge The specialist in Service Engineering Automation team is an engineer that has good understanding of all components that form a cloud solution and is proficient in everything it takes for a customer to see the desired outcome on his system That includes the whole lifecycle - from installation and initial configuration based on pre-approved design to capacity allocation and configuration of systems Job Scope Supervision Technical point of contact for Service Delivery Sales Engineering Project Management and In-Country Datacentre teams for issues related to Hosting service design implementation test and delivery of customer solutions Duties and Responsibilities Level 3 Support of Customer solutions and Shared GTT platforms Deployment maintenance and management of hybrid cloud solutions or dedicated on-prem solutions in any of the 50 GTT PoPs around the globe Work in cooperation with other engineering teams deploying and developing new customer and GTT platforms Proactive escalation follow-through and liaison with appropriate departments to resolve technical issues which may impact delivery timescales or quality Creation of contingency plans to minimize such risks Production of quality documentation to reflect changes to solutions Provide rotational on-call support to respond to and resolve critical production incidents and escalations Required Experience Qualifications At least 5 years of proven experience deploying configuring and managing virtual and or cloud infrastructures Excellent virtualization knowledge KVM preferred Excellent awareness of Hosting Solution components Storage Firewalls Server Hardware etc Excellent knowledge of large complex Hosting solutions Excellent English language skills a must Desirable Experience Qualifications NetApp KVM AWSAzure or RedHat certification Automation experience - PowerShell Bash SaltStack or Terraform Previous experience with Disaster Recovery solutions is an advantage Experienced with ITIL framework ITIL certification is a plus Universal Competencies Continuous Improvement Knowledge of transformation initiatives to drive fundamental changes enhance responsiveness and efficiency to core business practices Ability to drive cultural changes from best effort to results oriented Customer First Non-Customer Facing Knowledge of internal customer interactions creating a culture of accountability collaboration and partnership Ability to build an environment supporting internal customer value creation at every level Operational Excellence Understanding the system-driven processes for consistency and scalability Ability to re-focus processes and systems from integration activity to maximizing a positive customer impact and anticipating future trends Date Name Signature
