Debt Recovery Contact customers via phone calls, emails, SMS, and in-person visits to collect overdue payments. Handle pre-due, due, and post-due reminders to ensure on-time payments. Maintain professionalism and negotiate repayment plans when required. Ensure high collection efficiency while following company policies and regulatory guidelines. 2. Customer Interaction Explain outstanding payment details clearly to customers. Handle customer queries and provide necessary account information. Educate customers about payment options, due dates, and penalties. Build a positive rapport with customers to maintain long-term relationships. 3. Negotiation & Settlement Understand customers’ financial situations and offer feasible repayment solutions. Negotiate settlements within company policies and obtain necessary approvals. Provide customers with clear instructions on payment processes and timelines. 4. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate records of calls, visits, and recovery statuses in the system. Update payment commitments, disputes, and settlement details promptly. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly collection reports for management review. Ensure proper documentation for payments received and pending dues. 5. Compliance & Policies Follow all regulatory guidelines, company policies, and RBI norms for collections. Ensure data privacy and maintain customer confidentiality. Handle sensitive cases carefully while adhering to ethical collection practices. Report escalations, frauds, or disputes to the Collection Manager immediately. 6. Field Visits (if applicable) Visit customer addresses to recover overdue payments when required. Coordinate with field collection teams for difficult cases. Submit field visit reports and ensure safety and professionalism during recovery.Required Skills & Competencies1. Technical Skills Basic knowledge of MS Office and CRM tools for record management. Familiarity with collection software and payment gateways. Ability to understand loan agreements, payment schedules, and account statements. 2. Communication Skills Excellent verbal and written communication in English and regional languages. Active listening skills to understand customer concerns. Ability to explain financial terms in a clear and simple manner. 3. Negotiation & Problem-Solving Strong persuasion and negotiation skills to convince customers for payments. Ability to handle objections and provide practical repayment solutions.
