Job Description

SYSTRA, a global leader in mass transit and infrastructure development, is seeking a dedicated Resident Engineer (E&M / Depot). In this role, you'll assist the Chief Resident Engineer (Depot) in the proper implementation of Electrical & Mechanical (E&M) works for our critical metro depot projects. You'll be involved in all aspects from design review and site supervision to quality assurance, safety compliance, and coordination, ensuring the successful delivery of complex E&M systems within our railway infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

The Resident Engineer (E&M / Depot) will assist the Chief Resident Engineer (Depot) in the proper implementation of E&M work, including the following broad tasks:

Design & Planning Review:

- Review and supplement the detailed project report/concept report and all available design reports related to E&M works.

Supervision & Monitoring Assistance:

- Oversee overall coordination with the General Engineering Consultant (GEC) team and ensure project execution adheres to quality and safety frameworks.
- Monitor E&M construction and activities as per approved Good For Construction (GFC) drawings and proof-checked designs.
- Manage overall site operations for E&M aspects.

Reporting & Documentation:

- Handle client/management reporting and documentation, including the certification of quality work.

Interface & Issue Management:

- Coordinate interfaces with civil and system contractors.
- Manage the issuance and closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).

Site Operations & Verification:

- Handle day-to-day planning of E&M construction activities.
- Verify and certify contractor bills related to E&M works.
- Identify traffic requirements during construction and pinpoint site obstructions.
- Coordinate with GEC and GMRCL for utility shifting.

Compliance & Safety:

- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality observations. Oversee construction at the site as per approved method statements.

Testing & Commissioning:

- Provide assistance in Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Perform any other work specifically mentioned in the Terms of Reference (ToR).
