We are building a world-class finance engine to support rapid scale. ⸻ ⭐ About This Role We are hiring a Finance Manager (Controller-Track) to oversee accounting accuracy, reporting discipline, internal controls, cash flow visibility, process improvement, and financial analysis for Passion Farms’ multi-state U.S. operations. You will work closely with U.S. leadership, our internal teams across states, and our India-based division to build reliable systems, streamline processes, and maintain financial integrity. This role sits above the Senior Accountant level, with ownership of financial oversight, review, and process leadership. No cannabis is handled in India. All work supports digital accounting, reporting, and finance operations for U.S. legal markets. ⸻ 🧾 Responsibilities - Oversee accounting operations, month-end close, and financial accuracy - Review Senior Accountant work: reconciliations, journals, ledgers, AR/AP - Maintain internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance discipline - Build financial dashboards and weekly/monthly reporting systems - Manage cash flow visibility, forecasting, and working capital tracking - Conduct variance analysis and scenario modeling for U.S. leadership - Own multi-entity consolidation (Oklahoma, Texas, California) - Improve financial processes, SOPs, and automation workflows - Coordinate with U.S. teams for invoices, payables, tax filings, and reconciliations - Support pricing, margin analysis, and unit economics modeling - Ensure inventory, COGS, and costing systems are accurate and updated - Lead finance-related onboarding for future India hires - Serve as finance point-of-contact for cross-functional teams ⸻ 🧠 Ideal Candidate DNA You are someone who: - Is extremely detail-oriented and structured - Can work independently with minimal oversight - Has strong accounting fundamentals + business understanding - Enjoys creating order, clarity, and precision - Operates with integrity and ownership - Learns fast and adapts to dynamic environments - Communicates clearly with U.S. teams - Has the maturity to lead processes, not just execute them ⸻ 🛠 Required Skills & Experience - 4–8 years of experience in accounting or finance - Experience managing or reviewing work of junior accountants - Strong knowledge of reconciliations, AR/AP, ledgers, month-end close - Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar systems - Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills - Experience building financial dashboards or reports - Understanding of cost accounting, COGS, and inventory logic - Knowledge of GAAP principles (U.S. GAAP is a bonus) - Experience with multi-entity accounting preferred - Ability to create SOPs and streamline processes ⸻ ⭐ Nice to Have - CPA / CA Inter / CMA or finance certifications - Experience supporting U.S. clients or global markets - Exposure to cannabis, FMCG, wholesale, or multi-state businesses - Experience with ERP migration or financial automation tools - Understanding of tax basics (U.S. or India) ⸻ 📌 Legal Notice This role does NOT involve handling cannabis in India.
