To get the best candidate experience please consider applying for a maximum of 3 roles within 12 months to ensure you are not duplicating efforts Job Category Finance Job Details About Salesforce Salesforce is the 1 AI CRM where humans with agents drive customer success together Here ambition meets action Tech meets trust And innovation isn t a buzzword it s a way of life The world of work as we know it is changing and we re looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI driving innovation and keeping Salesforce s core values at the heart of it all Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era You re in the right place Agentforce is the future of AI and you are the future of Salesforce Description As a member of the Controllership SSC team the candidate will partner with Sales Legal Sales Operations and Pricing teams be a trusted advisor for customer contract negotiations and perform contract review apply technical guidance for revenue recognition compliance The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a fast paced and constantly changing environment across many different functions within the business and the finance organization A successful applicant will have a strong working understanding of ASC 606 with experience in application of the standard to a SaaS business model in the tech industry Further the candidate must excel in managing and understanding a wide range of issues and business models driven by acquisitions revenue recognition requirements and strategic shifts in go-to-market strategies In addition the role will participate in SOX compliance and interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits The position is based in Hyderabad and rolls up under Worldwide Controller Organization Responsibilities Work with Sales Sales Operations Pricing and Legal during contract negotiations to provide suggestions and guidance in order to ensure proper revenue recognition Review complex revenue contracts for compliance with US GAAP and determine the appropriate accounting treatment Engage with external auditors and understand respond to changes in the audit approach Keep up with industry trends and maintain up to date technical accounting knowledge Maintain documentation for all review and compliance work completed Deliver the highest standard of departmental cross departmental and cross region customer service Work with the Revenue Recognition team and respective business partners to develop and maintain SOX Compliance Lead and assist with other special projects as needed Execute monthly accounting close activities and deliverables i e journal entries analytics and reporting Time shift - Flexible to operate in extended EMEA shift US hours during financial close Skills Experience 8 years of relevant experience in Accounting analyzing information attention to details deadline oriented thoroughness in the deliverables spirit to work as a team and confidentiality 3 years of revenue experience with ability to interpret and apply authoritative accounting pronouncements specifically ASC 606 Revenue Recognition Experience in SOX control documentation execution Detail oriented ability to multi-task and work independently Understanding of ERP systems and willingness to learn quickly Knowledge of other tools such as Oracle Workday Financials Blackline eGRC360 Tableau Hyperion Microsoft Excel Slack etc is desirable Strong organizational and verbal written communication skills Passion in process improvement and automation Willing to work in a challenging environment Strong ability to respond quickly to various requests Must be a self-starter -
