Companys Controllership team The position will report directly to Head of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting The individual will work closely with cross-functional teams including accounting treasury tax and financial planning analysis on key initiatives including projects as necessary to continually improve accounting processes The individual will also play an important role in SOX compliance and will be a key contact for external audit Serve as the Companys technical accounting expert proactively evaluate complex transactions and provide technical accounting guidance and disclosure recommendations ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements Cultivate strong partnerships across Accounting Tax FP A and Internal External Audit Identify research consult and prepare review technical memoranda for complex transactions Bring a point of view rooted in technical accounting literature Stay current on FASB and SEC pronouncements and interpret impact to the Company Establish a formal technical accounting update program to train wider finance community within the organization regarding current policy and regulatory updates Oversee technical accounting policy drafting and updating while staying current on evolving industry practices Oversee accounting for leases stock compensation pension derivatives goodwill and other intangibles and various other corporate level transactions including business combinations Establish and maintain internal controls over financial reporting to mitigate risk and ensure the integrity of financial information as it relates to technical accounting work frame Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements Serve as a key point of contact for inquiries related to technical accounting matters Other ad-hoc matters related to US GAAP technical accounting and SEC requirements What Were Looking For Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant or similar equivalent qualification with significant US GAAP experience with 5-8 years of public accounting and or related industry experience a major portion of which should be with a technical accounting focus Deep technical proficiency across various areas of US GAAP and ability to research independently Excellent written and verbal communication skills ability to communicate with all levels of the Company Demonstrate proactive technical accounting assessment and communication Familiarity working in a public company SOX-compliant environment A positive team player with an adaptable and flexible approach along with ability to work collaboratively to drive results and support the wider team and business objectives Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to
