Design Lead

Job Description Role Overview SSC is seeking a Design Manager to join our creative and fast-growing team. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in design and video editing who are now ready to lead and manage creative projects and teams. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on design expertise with leadership, creativity, and strategic thinking to deliver visually impactful work across multiple media. Key Responsibilities Creative Leadership & Project Management - Lead and oversee design projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with brand identity and client objectives. - Manage and guide a small team of designers, providing creative direction and constructive feedback. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, content, strategy) to deliver cohesive and effective visual outputs. - Plan, prioritise, and manage multiple design projects simultaneously to meet deadlines. Design & Visual Content Creation - Create high-quality digital and print designs, including social media creatives, marketing collaterals, and brand assets. - Ensure design consistency and visual excellence across all touchpoints. - Stay updated with emerging design trends, tools, and technologies to enhance creative output. Video Editing & Motion Design - Edit and produce engaging videos for brand campaigns, social media, and internal communications. - Work with raw footage, animations, and motion graphics to create visually compelling stories. - Collaborate with the content team to align visuals with narrative tone and campaign objectives. Brand Development & Strategy - Support the development of brand guidelines and ensure their consistent implementation across all materials. - Contribute creative insights for branding, marketing campaigns, and visual storytelling initiatives. Qualifications - 34 years of professional experience in graphic design, creative direction, or multimedia design. - Proven experience in video editing using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or equivalent. - Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). - Canva proficiency is mandatory; experience with Figma and other design tools will be an added advantage. - Strong understanding of branding, visual hierarchy, and layout design principles. - Prior experience managing or mentoring junior designers is preferred.
